China customs releases authorized exporter list for fresh Malaysian durians

China approved 33 Malaysian companies, including Top Fruits and Du-Fresh, to export 17,685 metric tons of fresh durians annually. Malaysia, with over 220 durian varieties, now exports fresh durians to China, focusing on popular varieties like Musang King and Black Thorn. Top Fruits, a leading exporter, has 500 acres of organic durian orchards and exports 60% of its produce to China. Malaysia's durian production is set to grow, with Black Thorn gaining popularity in the Chinese market. Fresh durians will be shipped to China via air and sea, using packaging to maintain freshness for up to 21 days.
