The Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) launched the OTOD Digital Durian initiative to boost Thai durian farmers' productivity using digital tools. The project aims to standardize durian production and enhance data tracking for better crop management. With over 6,100 farming households targeted, the initiative will improve consumer trust and competitiveness, particularly against China and neighboring countries. The program also focuses on training farmers in e-commerce and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification. The goal is to create a national agricultural platform, contributing to big data and modernizing traditional farming. Thailand’s durian exports, which account for 69% of the fruit's export market, are expected to reach 19.8 billion baht in two years.
