Tuyên Quang exports nearly 8,000 Soi Hà pomelos to UK

Tuyên Quang Province in northern Vietnam marked a milestone with its first export of nearly 8,000 Soi Hà pomelos to the UK. These high-quality fruits boast a Brix sweetness level of at least 11.5, lack bitterness, and feature a uniform yellow peel free from blemishes or insect damage. Weighing 1–1.2 kg each, the pomelos are harvested early, certified to meet European standards, and pass pesticide residue tests.
Soi Hà pomelos are one of Tuyên Quang's seven OCOP (One Commune One Product) items selected by R.Y.B JSC for export this year. Despite the UK's stringent market requirements, the pomelos received positive feedback and additional orders from British buyers, showcasing their potential for other European markets.
This follows an earlier ceremony on October 11 celebrating the export of six other OCOP products, including guava tea, dried banana, and calamondin syrup, to the UK. The exports highlight Tuyên Quang’s efforts to expand its agricultural reach into international markets by focusing on quality and compliance with global standards. These achievements position the province as a strong contender in the export of premium agricultural goods.
