Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable exports are set to reach a record $7-7.2 billion by year-end, driven by double-digit growth in key markets like Thailand, South Korea, Germany, Canada, China, and the U.S., according to the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (Vinafruit). China remains the largest importer, accounting for $4.6 billion or nearly 70% of the total export value. While the U.S. is not a top importer, it offers strong potential due to limited domestic production of tropical fruits. Vietnam currently exports eight fresh fruits to the U.S., including dragon fruit, mango, longan, lychee, rambutan, star apple, pomelo, and coconut.
