Singapore’s Kaki Kaki durian retailer will launch a vending machine at Tampines MRT station on Jan 20, offering 400g boxes of Mao Shan Wang durian. Usually priced at $38, they will cost $18.88 during a promotional period from Jan 24 to Feb 12. Durians are replenished daily, with unsold fruit made into puree for cakes.
Kaki Kaki uses a cold-chain process and works directly with Malaysian farmers, ensuring quality and competitive pricing by eliminating middlemen. Customers can also order online, with a promotional giveaway offering prizes worth up to $500 for every three boxes purchased.
This follows Kaki Kaki’s earlier vending machine launches at condominiums like Parc Oasis and Casa Merah. The initiative aims to make premium durians more accessible while streamlining operations.
