ITRI collaborates to boost dragon fruit value [Source: Taiwanese]

The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) announced a partnership with Dahan Enzyme and Lukang Food Bank to enhance the value of dragon fruit. Using ultrasonic extraction and fermentation technology, they developed high-functional nutritional supplements from the fruit, supporting local farmers in Erlin Township, Changhua. Taiwan grows over 2,000 hectares of dragon fruit, with Erlin contributing a quarter of the national output. This initiative aims to create new market opportunities for farmers.
