Philippines’ first frozen durian shipment reaches China

Maylong Enterprises Corp., a Davao-based company, became the first in the Philippines approved to export frozen durian meat and paste to China. On February 11, 2025, they shipped 1,050 boxes of frozen durian meat and 300 boxes of paste, valued at P8.2 million, to Guangzhou. This milestone highlights the successful collaboration between government agencies and farmers to meet China’s strict quality standards. The achievement is expected to strengthen the Philippines’ position in the global durian market and benefit local durian growers in Davao.
