The Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science has awarded DKK1,028,800 to the “Danish-Thai-Indian Circular Bioeconomy Network for Mango Waste Valorisation,” a project coordinated by the University of Southern Denmark. The initiative brings together research partners from Thailand, IIT Mumbai, and India’s Organic Recycling Systems Limited (ORSL), whose innovation division ORSRIC will serve as a key industrial partner.

Running from January 2026 to March 2027, the project aims to develop advanced technologies and sustainable business models that convert mango waste and other agricultural residues into high-value bioproducts, bioenergy, and eco-friendly materials. ORSL will contribute its expertise in anaerobic digestion, biogas and CBG production, and scalable waste-to-value commercial technologies.

Dr. Manju Tanwar of ORS-RIC said the collaboration will deepen global cooperation in circular bioeconomy research, support knowledge exchange, and promote industrial applications that benefit farmers, industries, and the environment.
