A Malaysian entrepreneur in Perak successfully transformed his business through guava farming after facing setbacks in other agricultural ventures. By cultivating premium guava varieties such as Pearl guava, he built a profitable operation supplying hotels, supermarkets, and wholesalers.
Supported by government agencies, the farm now combines guava and pineapple production with modern technologies including solar-powered and IoT-based monitoring systems to improve productivity and quality. The business also produces pineapple seedlings and applies integrated management practices to maximize efficiency.
Strong market demand has driven rapid growth, though challenges remain, including rising production costs and disease risks. The farmer is also exploring value-added products such as guava juice to reduce waste and increase profitability.
