Taiwan celebrates a breakthrough in agricultural trade, commencing fresh pineapple exports to New Zealand following approval under ANZTEC. After meticulous preparation since 2017, covering cultivation, pest control, and postharvest practices, Taiwan's pineapples gain access to the New Zealand market after eight years of negotiations. The Agriculture Ministry emphasizes stringent management protocols ensuring traceability from production to logistics. Pre-export training sessions are planned. Taiwanese pineapples are already exported to Canada, Japan, and Australia, lauded for their aroma and flavor. With diverse cultivars allowing year-round cultivation, Taiwanese pineapples hold significant value both domestically and globally, symbolizing Taiwan's prowess in fruit exports.
