Calavo increasing Peru avocado supplies

Peru's avocado crop is smaller this season, but Calavo Growers Inc. will have slightly more volume for the U.S. market. They expect smaller-sized avocados, with peak shipments from Peru arriving in July and August and continuing into September. Despite strong demand, Calavo won't increase shipments, maintaining their regular supply chain through their New Jersey facility. California's avocado season is longer than expected, with an updated crop estimate of 240-244 million pounds, 10-15% more than initially predicted. With Mexico's avocado supply low in summer, the combined California and Peru supply will meet strong demand, ensuring favorable market conditions and good prices for growers.
