Bangladesh has received approval from China to export fresh mangoes, following the signing of a phytosanitary agreement. This significant trade development opens the Chinese market to Bangladeshi mangoes, addressing China's growing demand for tropical fruits. China's mango imports have surged, averaging 84,000 tons annually. This opportunity is expected to help reduce Bangladesh’s trade deficit with China and boost mango exports as a key product.
