An Indonesia-India exchange program, part of the India-U.S. Triangular Development Partnership (TriDeP), highlights agroforestry's potential in sustainable coffee farming. From July 28 to August 6, a 22-member Indonesian delegation visited India to explore sustainable agroforestry practices in coffee-growing regions. The program, supported by the Indian National Institute of Agriculture Extension Management (MANAGE) and the Coffee Board of India, focused on addressing environmental and economic challenges in coffee production. Agroforestry systems, crucial for climate resilience, soil health, and biodiversity, offer sustainable solutions for smallholder farmers in both countries. This initiative aims to foster joint research, educational exchanges, and pilot programs to advance sustainable coffee practices.
