An online tool to aid the seafood sector's response to climate change has been launched. The Seafood Carbon Emissions Profiling Tool enables businesses to measure and reduce the carbon footprint of their products, helping them meet net-zero targets. Available online, the tool allows users to input supply chain data, such as greenhouse gas emissions from processing, to generate product carbon footprints and identify emission hotspots. Developed by Mérieux NutriSciences | Blonk with funding from the Fisheries and Seafood Scheme (FaSS) in England, it supports the UK seafood industry in achieving its decarbonization goals and includes resources for users and the public.
