Carbon Market Regulations Tracker

Gold Standard | Source |

The Carbon Market Regulations Tracker, launched in June 2024, is a tool designed to improve understanding and transparency in carbon market regulations. It helps governments, project developers, investors, and other stakeholders navigate the evolving regulatory landscape. The tracker offers standardized summaries and links to regulations related to baseline-and-crediting market activities in both voluntary carbon markets and those under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. It excludes carbon tax policies and emissions trading systems unless they involve carbon credits. Hosted by Gold Standard and maintained regularly, it supports market certainty and knowledge sharing across jurisdictions. Developed by South Pole, it is part of a program funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
