Agriculture accounts for nearly one-quarter of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, making technology-driven solutions critical to achieving measurable low-carbon outcomes. To advance this transition, FFTC, together with TARI, TLRI, and TCDARES under Taiwan’s Ministry of Agriculture, will co-organize the 2026 International Workshop in Taipei, showcasing applications of AI, IoT, robotics, and big data in precision rice farming, smart livestock, digital cold chains, and emerging agrifood systems, while exploring practical pathways for the green transition of smallholders across the Asia-Pacific region.
